MMCF IS AN INCLUSIVE ORGANIZATION WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS

Mildred Mindell Cancer Foundation (MMCF) is a Maryland-based 501(c)3 charitable organization working to support cancer patients and their families within the state. 

 

Since 1957, MMCF members have volunteered their time and efforts to actively raise funds to provide services which improve the quality of life for people and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis. We partner with area hospitals providing treatment and therapy, and a variety of organizations offering education in prevention/early identification, respite care and diversions from treatment.

Fundraising efforts have gone toward:

• sending children to camp

• purchasing infusion chairs, special scales & more comfortable exam tables  

• paying for transportation vouchers

• providing phone cards

• funding for wigs

• purchasing supplies for art therapy

• helping pay for additional needs not covered by insurance

• funding for videos, books and games for children receiving treatment

• Selling bracelets designed by cancer survivors  

• Selling cookbooks
